“World Soil Day” (WSD) is held annually on 5th December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate the sustainable management of soil resources.Propogated by the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) in 2002,ARRMHSS respects this day with informative and educational sessions for its students this year. We focused on soil biodiversity with the Slogan
“KEEP SOIL ALIVE”
“PROTECT SOIL BIODIVERSITY”
The Theme for the day was creative miniature planting for which the students taken the seeds to their choice to point in the waste objects like empty Coconut shell, old diyas, etc.
An oath was taken by all the participants as follows.
1. WE WILL TAKE CARE OF OUR SOIL AS OUR MOTHER….
2. WE WILL USE BIO-FERTILIZERS BASED ON CROP
REQUIREMENTS.
3. WE WILL NOT BURN CROP RESIDUES IN FIELD.
4. WE ALWAYS GO TO CROP ROTATION.
