On August 15, 2024, ARR Matriculation Higher Secondary School proudly celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day, a day dedicated to honoring our nation and the brave freedom fighters who secured our liberty. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the Managing Trustee & Secretary, Mr. A.M. Vaidyanaathan, and the Chairman & Correspondent, Mrs. Sukhamala Vaidyanaathan, followed by a series of cultural performances.

Our students delivered stirring performances that highlighted the immense struggles and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, evoking a deep sense of patriotism. The celebrations concluded with the National Anthem and a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving everyone with a renewed respect for our country’s glorious past and the spirit of freedom that continues to inspire us all.

The Olympic light was carried from the Mahamaham tank through the main streets of Kumbakonam, reaching ARR Matriculation School. The torchbearers of our school, who are participants and winners at the state and district levels, proudly led the way for the sports meet to declared open.

Following the vibrant march past with our four colourful school teams on display, followed by beautiful and spectacular exercises performed by the students.

The winners were awarded medals and certificates. The Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride, showcasing the physical prowess, teamwork, and sportsmanship of our young athletes. The event was a testament to their dedication and passion, serving as a catalyst for growth, learning, and camaraderie.
